Violeta’s journey with the predecessor company of AVUS in Romania began in 1994, making her one of our most dedicated and experienced members. It’s a testament to her exceptional expertise and unwavering commitment that she has now taken up the role of Managing Director since July 1.
A bit about Violeta: ๐ 2011 – 2015: License in Law from University Nicolae Titulescu, Bucharest. ๐ 1983 – 1987: Studied at the College of Philology and History „Zoia Kosmodemianskaia“ in Bucharest. ๐ Linguistic Prowess: Besides her native Romanian, Violeta is proficient in German, English, and Italian.

We are thrilled to announce our newest milestone as we continue to broaden our footprint across Europe. After launching a successful branch in Germany last month, we have now set our sails towards Eastern Europe, opening our new branch in Romania!
As many of you know, Romania is a territory that holds a special place in the AVUS history. Our past experiences in this vibrant market have been incredibly enriching and we have been privileged to be considered the market leader in the insurance claims handling industry here.
Unfortunately, due to a recent business transition with AFES, our former sister company, we lost our original presence in Romania. But as they say, „Every end is a new beginning.“ Today marks that new beginning.
AVUS is back in Romania, and this time it’s a fresh start! We are excited to bring back our exceptional services to a market that we’ve always held in high regard. Our Romanian branch is here to serve our clients with the same dedication, professionalism, and innovation that have been the hallmarks of AVUS.

At the beginning of March we already reported on the spin-off of AFES AG from the Avus Group.
The separation has now been completed and the AFES branches formerly operating under the AVUS brand have changed their names or will do so shortly.
Nothing will change directly for our customers as a result of this separation. Existing contracts will remain valid and your contact persons will take care of your concerns as usual.
However, the separation opens up new opportunities for AVUS to serve the whole of Europe with its own branches and partners. Since February, we have been working with great commitment to establish our own branches in the important European markets. In doing so, we are relying on experienced professionals who have many years of expertise in this field.
The first step is our new branch in Germany, AVUS worldwide claims service GmbH in Hamburg. We have been present there for you since 1 June 2023. The branch will be managed by the managing directors Udo Rosebrock and Josef Schรถrghuber, whose names are known far beyond the German borders for competence and quality in the insurance industry.
We are pleased to announce the opening of another branch office in another important European country, probably at the end of June/beginning of July. We are still waiting for official approvals before we can start operations.
At the same time, we are in the process of establishing further branches in Western and Southwestern Europe. We are also in negotiations with potential partners in various countries.
In the course of this year, we will be able to provide our clients with a nationwide network with which we can process claims in the usual AVUS quality. You can find regular updates and news on our blog or follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook to stay up to date.

The Dr. Pscheidl-Privatstiftung, 50% owner of AVUS worldwide claims service (wwcs), has surrendered its 50% stake in our current partner AFES AG, which is based in Liechtenstein. For customers and business partners nothing changes: the existing contracts are fulfilled, the expansion of the global AVUS network is consistently continued.
Created about 50 years ago by AVUS founder Josef Pscheidl, AFES went to its new owner, the Coberny Foundation, in mid-February. Although this separation also means the temporary surrender of some sites in Western Europe and the countries bordering the Mediterranean under the AVUS brand, according to AVUS Managing Director Magister Josef Schรถrghuber, there is no change in the claims settlement: „All cooperation agreements remain valid, the AVUS guidelines on neutrality, quality and know-how are 100 percent fulfilled. We will therefore continue to service our customers and partners based on established the long-term trust.“
In proven hands
As before, Mr. Schรถrghuber and Magister Thomas Hurmer are managing the business of AVUS wwcs following the recent death of Dr. Dieter Pscheidl together with his sister, Doris Petroni,. She continues to hold 50 percent of the company’s shares, the other half of the company is owned by Dr. Pscheidl-Privatstiftung(DPPS, an Austrian private foundation). As Mr. Schรถrghuber points out, there are no longer financial links to AFES AG: „The separation has been clearly made, there is no participation in any AFES subsidiary, as it was the case in the past. All trademark rights lie solely with AVUS wwcs. The establishment of new sites, as last in Slovenia in 2022, will continue to be consistently implemented. Our goal as AVUS is not only to maintain the proven and experienced global network, but also to gradually expand it.“
